CBB teams visit encampments, bridges, parks, streets, and other service locations where people experiencing homelessness gather.
Street Outreach Services in Kansas City
Bringing Care to the Community
We go out into the community to provide free care where people already are.

The Importance of Street Outreach Services
Traditional healthcare often asks too much of people who are already trying to survive the day. Outreach healthcare removes the first barrier by taking licensed providers, nurses, outreach workers, and supplies directly to people who may not be able to reach a clinic. Meeting people where they are is how real change can begin.
Support on the Street

Medical Care
Providers offer basic and urgent care, medication support, health education, and referrals to nearby clinics or hospitals if needed.

Wound Care
Street medicine teams clean, dress, and monitor wounds. Many seemingly minor injuries can become infected when people live outdoors.

Practical Support
Our outreach teams can also recommend services for case management, document procurement, overdose prevention, and more.

Providers meet patients, listen to their concerns, assess urgent needs, treat wounds, offer supplies, discuss medication, and offer advice without judgment.
If patients need additional support, our team follows up through outreach, community-based clinics, case management, and referrals.
Some people need time before accepting help. CBB respects that trust takes time, which is why we keep showing up.

Who Outreach Helps
Street outreach supports people who face barriers that make the standard care process feel impossible.

People Living Outside
Individuals experiencing homelessness can receive care in places where they sleep and gather.

Uninsured People
People without insurance can still receive attention, supplies, and follow-up care.

People With Wounds
We can treat wounds, infections, and frostbite before they become emergencies.

People Avoiding the System
Fear, mental health disorders, and poor experiences can make it hard for people on the street to trust clinics and hospitals.
