Fundraising Events
Nonprofit fundraisers help cover the costs of free care. Donations may cover clinic supplies, outreach materials, medication inventory, transportation, and other patient care expenses. Fundraising events are essential to our mission because CBB does not bill patients or ask for insurance. When people give to our cause through a fundraiser, they help remove one more barrier between a person and care. Outreach Events
Community outreach events help CBB bring education, supplies, and practical support into places where people experiencing homelessness already gather. These events may focus on healthcare education, overdose prevention, supply distribution, or basic resource sharing. The goal is not to host an event for show. The goal is to reach people who might otherwise go without help.
Supply Drives
Supply drives help us stock items that our team can use in our clinics or pass out during community outreach. Useful drives should collect materials that align with the community’s current needs. We always need items like socks, underwear, hygiene products, and water, but materials like coats, gloves, hand warmers, and sunscreen may be more useful at certain times of year. Asking our team what we need helps us avoid sorting through donations that ‌we cannot use.
Sponsor an Event
Businesses, schools, churches, civic groups, and other supporters can help sponsor an event and minimize costs. Sponsorship makes it easier for us to hold nonprofit fundraisers and allows more money to go toward patient care. If your organization has never sponsored an event; don’t worry. CBB can help supporters plan fundraisers, supply drives, and events that meet real needs.
Host a Fundraiser

Volunteer at Events
Event volunteers help with setup, check-in, supply organization, donor support, or cleanup. Some roles involve more public interaction, while others happen behind the scenes. Either way, showing up matters. Staffing an event allows our team members to continue working where they’re needed most.
Learn the Work
Not every event starts with giving. Some community events Kansas City residents attend may help people understand homelessness, healthcare access, medical respite, and the barriers patients face. Education can lead to better support. CBB wants people to understand the mission so they can make the biggest impact.
